Frequently Asked Questions

Are there Performaces during the event ?

Sometimes yes, sometimes no! It depends on the seasons, the event and multiple factors. We do try to have some performers as often as we can tho!

How many people usually attend ?

Depending on the events, we counted about 600 for quieter editions upto 1500 for busier ones.

Do you have quiet hours for people sensitive to noise and crowds ?

We don't have "framed" quieter hours at the time being, but if you are looking for a less crowded experience, we recommend coming between 5 and 6 pm on both days.

Are Pets allowed?

If your dog is comfortable in crowds, nice and doesn't mind being pet without consent, ok around kids : yes. Dogs that are a bit more nervous are less recommended.

How can i pay ?

Most vendors have card readers, tap systems, some don't. I recommend bringing a bit of cash. most vendors also accept e-transfers.

Do i have to fit a dress code to attend ?

Not at all, but you are welcome to if you wish!

Is the event 18+ or family friendly ?

Our event is advertised for adults and showcase a lot of adult oriented art. We do welcome children but will not censure our artists. You are responsible for the conversations, teachings that may come from certain art pieces. You are also responsible for the touchy hands of your kids, please educate them to be mindful of fragile objects. We do not accept unsupervised children.

Is there an Entry fee?

Not at the time being. We try to keep our event free to attend and our booths low priced for our vendors. If you wish to contribute, we always have a contributions jar at the front table!

Will there be food and drinks?

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. When there is, they should be featured in the line up of vendors. We try to keep the food safe from the most common allergies : nuts, fish, seafood. You are welcome to bring a snack if you feel a bit hungry. If you have a diabetes low and need a quick sugary drink, please visit any member of the Goth shop for some juice or soda.

Is there a selfie spot / photo opp?

Le Saint-Motel is a proud partner of Goth Shop and Maleficarum. They usually provide a decor to take photos in. The Maleficarum venue also includes the St-Motel Studio, where you can do take photos for 15$ / person for 30 mins. The space has over 14 decors to take photos in, some dark, haunting and some more bubbly!

If i don't purchase on site, how can i contact the vendor in the future ?

We have carefully crafted our Past Events section with each edition and the detailed list of every vendor that has ever came to our events! You should be able to trace them by filtering which edition you have attended. In the event that you are looking for a vendor that was at a specific location, etc, please feel free to email us, we also have records of every floor plan ever produced! hahah!

Is there a Give away of Raffle ?

Inchoo Bijoux usually has a raffle every edition to win 250$ worth of jewelry! You can enter the contest at the front desk table!

Is there Parking?

There is usually parking in the street and accessible via the back of the building (parking is free for 1h and between 5-10$ for the day)

What metro stations are you located near to ?

We are about half way between Metro St-Henri and Lionel Groulx, there are also a few busses that pass on the street.

Is there a Cloakroom or locker for coats?

we don't currently have an official cloakroom, but we do have a coat rack near the front table if you wish to take off a layer during shopping. We are not responsible for items lost or stolen.

How long should i plan to stay ?

Depends on how social you are! If you intend to give each table a good look, i would recommend at least an hour to 90 mins. Some people come and go in less then 30, but we have estimated that most people stay between an hour to 2-3 hours.

What happens if it rains or snows ?

Our events are always inside so temperature doesn't hurt the art. Once you are done fighting the cold to get to us, you can unload your coat on the coat rack and enjoy the warmth inside. Unless there is an unprecedented storm, our events happen rain or shine.

Can i tag the event on social media ?

Of course! It would be a pleasure to reshare your post as well ! Thanks for sharing us with your friends and family!

Can i volunteer ?

We love volunteers but we prefer to pay our teams haha! If you are looking for a position to fill during events, please send us an email, we often need someone somewhere!
